Student Founder Challenge is a newly introduced program under the Ganesha Business Festival (GBF) 2026. This program is designed as a competitive platform to identify and develop the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders. Unlike conventional business plan competitions, Student Founder Challenge does not solely focus on evaluating business ideas, but also emphasizes assessing the individual potential of each participant as a founder. This assessment is conducted through the Student Founder Assessment Triad (Character, Innovation, and Action), which reflects the essential competencies of impactful founders. The program serves as a platform that upholds ethics and empathy alongside efficiency, thereby activating one of the core pillars of GBF 2026, namely “Conscious Leadership.” Through Student Founder Challenge, the program aims to cultivate future founders (future Conscious Leaders) who are capable of building and executing businesses by leveraging technology responsibly, while consistently upholding human values, empathy, and ethical considerations to generate sustainable and meaningful impact in the digital era.

The theme “The Founder’s Edge” represents the deepest strength of a founder, not just the excellence of ideas, technology, or capital, but the personal character that shapes the way a leader thinks, make decisions, and acts. In a business context, character becomes the edge that distinguishes between founders who can only talk about growth and founders who are capable of leading a business sustainably. This theme emphasizes that today’s business challenges can’t be solved through product innovation alone. These challenges require leadership that is ethical, empathetic, adaptive, and willing to take responsibility for the impact of business decisions. This competition is a space to test how a founder’s values, self-awareness, and leadership shape the long-term direction of a business.
